‘Welcome to Broadway’

‘Welcome to Broadway’

The Josie de Leon School of Performing Arts family

It was such a great night at the KCCC Grand Hall in Mississauga when the Josie de Leon School of Performing Arts featured “Welcome to Broadway” for their First Year Anniversary Showcase presentation.

The talented JDLSPAers , wowed the ‘standing room only’ audience on Oct. 28 and Nov. 4 with their singing, dancing and acting talents . They did excerpts from well loved Broadway musicals such as Hairspray, West Side Story, Miss Saigon, Annie, Grease, Phantom of the Opera, Cats, Wicked, Wizard of Oz, Carousel, Sound of Music and many more!

Happiness and excitement were shown on the faces of the students as they all did a great job for every musical segment they did, complete with costumes and props.

The proud parents can’t help to describe the feeling seeing their kids perform on stage.

“We are so glad that we have enrolled our daughter and we know she is in good hands with Miss Josie and her team of mentors, we are so happy to be part the JDLSPA family,” says Liza Quijano.

Neil and Danya, Miss Saigon

As per co-founder of JDLSPA, Mark Crescini, the students had acting classes led by a professional actor and team mentor Kyle Mac . They also had hours and hours of dancing and singing training just to perfect each segment.

“I have so much respect for what Mark and Josie have accomplished in letting all their students shine that night! What a way to cap the one year anniversary of JDLSPA!” says Miss Marilen Patricio.

West Side Story

I have personally seen the school when it started November last year, and I am happy on how the school grew to what it is now, but not surprised at all, with a mentor like Miss Josie de Leon, I am sure these kids will be molded into the right direction.

Congratulations to the Josie de Leon School of Performing Arts!
