TORONTO–CTS, Bell Canada’s largest distributor, has signed a one-year contract to distribute 100,000 Mavshack cards across Canada.

Ken Kang, owner and CEO of CTS, said The Mavshack Cards “simplifies entertainment viewing to many Filipino Canadians. This makes it ever so easy and efficient for customers to watch their favorite Filipino movies on the go!”

Mavshack Cards will have a massive launch with three concerts, premium items and small events lined up across Canada.

Watching movies with cable VOD, IPTV entails a $5 per movie payment and an additional  fee for special ethnic channels on top of the regular $30 charge by existing  IPTV providers. TFC & GMA have Set Top Boxes which are also on the $20 price margin. Mavshack gives a quick, affordable and fun way to watch Filipino movies.

Filipinos can watch their favorite celebrities while travelling via their mobile devices. The P2P technology supports limited bandwidth so consumers will not go beyond their data plans, according to Nicole Ruebenfeldt, Managing Director for 24H handling the U.S. and Canada territories.

To make things fun for consumers, free items will be given out from selected restaurants, supermarkets, convenient  stores carrying the Mavshack Cards.

Customers can register their mobile numbers and receive video announcements via their smart phones of new movies from Mavshack.

Mavshack  understands that Filipinos want to see new content specially from the Fil-American or Fil-Canadian talent. Mavshack will release the new plastic  “new design, highlighting  new movies from independent Filipino New York movie producers, such ad DVent productions, and Studio Six.
