Nations Fresh Foods opens in Hamilton

Nations Fresh Foods opens in Hamilton

Nations-Supermarket-opening
On Saturday, July 13, 2013, the flagship location of Nations Fresh Foods   vofficially opened in 55,000 square feet at the Bay Street (west) entrance of Lloyd D. Jackson Square. This is the second location for Nations Fresh Foods. The first one opened in Woodbridge Square, at Hwy 7 and Weston Rd. Vaughan, ON, August 2012.

This is the sixth store in the Mississauga company’s chain with two in Brampton, two in Mississauga, one in Woodbridge and now their largest store and newest concept, Nations Fresh Foods, opening in Hamilton’s up and coming, multi ethnic downtown core.

In the early 2000’s, the founders recognized that the grocery shopping needs of the many ethnic groups streaming into Canada were not being well met. Their goal was to provide the “raw materials” for the various cooking needs for new immigrants wanting to make meals like mom used to make back home.

Today Nations Fresh Foods still focuses on the multi ethnic grocery shopping needs of Ontario’s many ethnic groups but now they also recognize that all of their customers are time tapped, regardless of ethnicity.

Over one third of the Nations, Jackson Square location will feature, made fresh daily, prepared and semi prepared foods that are ready to eat ready to heat or ready to cook at home. With an in-store seating area, Nations Jackson Square is all about convenience for the grocery shopper, office worker, movie go-er or quick casual diner.

Nations grocery shopping component includes their signature 2,000 square foot fresh fish and seafood market, custom cut meats in the butchery, large European deli, freshly baked daily, breads, pastries and cakes, a unique global assortment in their produce department that will keep you guessing.

Yale Properties, the landlord at Jackson Square has been their strategic partner in the development of this project and the Nations team is grateful for Yale’s vision and belief in Nations Fresh Foods. Nations wishes to send special thanks to Jocelyne Mainville, Leasing Manager, Jackson Square and Scott Kyle, Property Manager, Yale Properties for their hard work and dedication to the successful completion of this project.
