The Order of the Knights of Rizal , headed by Sir Reghis M. Romero II, KGCR as the Supreme Commander, will celebrate its 107 years of existence on November 16, 2013 as it was promulgated by Congress (the Senate and the House of Representatives) and signed into law by the Presidentof the Philippines on November 16, 1916.
Montreal, Quebec was the venue of the 4th Knights of Rizal, Canada Region, hosted by the KOR – Montreal Chapter headed by Sir Rey Balansi, KCR, and supervised by KOR – Canada Region headed by Canada Regional Commander Sir George Poblete, KGCR, and Deputy Regional Commander Sir Jaime Marasigan, together with the support of the different area commanders, the deputy commanders, chapter commanders, and the al the Knights of Rizal members in Canada which was held on August 31, 2013 to September 2, 2013 at the Hyatt Regency.
The event was attended by the Knights of Rizal officers and members in the United States, Europe, Asia, and other countries with the Order of the Knights of Rizal organizations.
Knights of Rizal Supreme Commander Romero gave emphasis to the passage of the law by Congress (Senate and House) creating the Order of the Knights of Rizal 107 years ago. He urged the members of the Knights of Rizal throughout the world to continue promoting and sharing with the youth Dr. Jose P. Rizal’s ideals of reforms and justice for all.
He cited the members of the Order of the Knights of Rizal to continue promoting to the Filipino youth in the Philippines and in other parts of the world of Filipino heritage the teachings or Rizal, the Philippines’s national hero which is still relevant in the country’s governance.
Supreme Commander Sir Reghis M. Romero II, KGCR, was introduced by Sir Jaime Marasigan, KGOR, Canada Rizal deputy commander.
Canada’s Order of the Knights of Rizal advisers include: Sir Emiliano Silverio, KGCR; Sir Lapulapu Cana, KGCR; Sir Dr. Tom Virey, KGOR; Sir Antonio Doctor, KGCR; Dr. Roland Guzman, KGOR; and Sir Virgilio Arguelles, KGOR.
Sir Antonio Doctor, KGCR, of Windsor, Ontario, brought the Order of the Knights of Canada organization to Canada.
The event was highlighted by seminar – workshop with commanders’ ball and gala night.
