BARRIO FIESTA (Filipino) Restaurant ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Monday, Nov. 4, 2013. On hand was Consul General in Toronto, Honorable Junever Mahilum-West (2nd from left), who officiated the ceremony. She was joined by Mr. Mario Racco (left), former MPP for Thornhill, Ms. Liberty Ilagan (center), well-known Filipino actress, Mr. Ahmed Lafir, Barrio Fiesta-Toronto Franchise Owner, and Ms. Happy Ongpauco (right), owner of Barrio Fiesta (Philippines).

CHRIS JONES Commended by Toronto Police
Donovan Christopher Jones, an employee of the Toronto Transit Corporation and of the Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation (PCCF), recently got an award from the Toronto Police Service. Chris was commended for finding a lost 6-year old boy who was returned to his mother after Chris notified 42 Division. Chris is married to Gema Mayo of La Union.
