The celebration of the  117th death anniversary and martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal,  the Philippines’ national hero will be celebrated worldwide by the Order of the Knights of Rizal on December 30, 2013.

Knights of Rizal Supreme Commander Sir  Reghis M. Romero II, KGCR, will lead the worldwide celebration.
Sir Reghis M. Romero II, KGCR called on the Filipino communities throughout the world to participate in this historical event which is being held yearly to remember the works and sacrifices of the national hero for the sake of the country and its people.

Sir George Poblete, KGCR, Regional Commander of the Order of Knights of Rizal for Canada together with his deputy regional commander, Sir Jaime T. Marasigan, KGOR, are now coordinating with the other officers and members of the Order of the Knights, Canada Region in preparation for the celebration of the national hero’s 117th celebration of his martyrdom.

Sir Mauro Calaguio, Jr., KCR, will be the committee chairman of the celebration of the 117th anniversary of the martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal in Toronto, Ontario with the wreath laying ceremonies to be held at the Earl Bales Park where the bust of the national hero is located.
