TORONTO–Asuncion Ramos is Silayan Community Centre 2014 Mother of the Year

Mothers throughout the world were honored by their children, relatives, and friends on May 10, 2014.

The Silayan Community Centre headed by its’ Chairman and President, Ben Ferrer together with the other officers and members of the board of directors of the association has selected Mrs. Asuncion Ramos as the 2014 Mother of the Year.

Ms. Ramos is a very active member of the Filipino community in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. In fact she was the immediate past president of the Toronto’s Aspiration of Dr. Jose P. Rizal in Toronto.

Mrs. Ramos son, Emmanuel Ramos, has delivered a message honoring her mother and her youngest son, Nelson, escorted her during the duration of the program.

Filipino-Canadian Senator Tobias C. Enverga, Jr. and Ms. Rosemer Albovias; The Order of the Knights of Rizal  Canada Council Regional Commander Sir George Poblete, Consul Shirley E. Banquicio,  The Knights of Rizal Deputy Regional Commander Sir Jaime Marasigan, Ladies of Rizal Executive Director Mrs. Bing Marasigan, Frank Crawford, Rose Cruz, Brother Pors Canlas, Mitch Canlas, Officers and memberss of the Philippine Canadian Charitable Foundation (PCCF, and other Filipino community association officers, representatives of the I-Remit Inc, and members graced the event.

Jazzmine Manalo was the program emcee.
