Tomatoes may reduce prostate cancer risk
Dig into summer’s favorite vegetable (well, fruit): researchers in the U.K. say tomato consumption may lower a man’s risk of prostate cancer by a staggering 20 percent. The health benefit may be related to reselycopene, a powerful antioxidant found in tomatoes. “Our findings suggest that tomatoes may be important in prostate cancer prevention,” said lead researcher, Vanessa Er, in a press release.
