‘It’s all about you’ fundraising for Autism Ontario
TORONTO–March 28, 2015 at Le Passion Lounge a fundraising event was organized by Mrs. Jujelyn Brown in support of Autism Ontario. From the theme itself “It’s All about you,” the event promotes bringing out the best of the participants and supporters, allowing them to express themselves in their own way.
This event was inspired by Mrs Brown in honour of her birthday. She sponsored and organized the event that was supported by more than a hundred people. Friends, friends of friends, acquaintances and many people whom she had never met. They all turned out to support Autism Ontario. It was indeed a great night for everyone.
The event started with a licensed Zumba Gold instructor, Sheryl Maligsay. Wow!! People had a great time and got pumped-up with high energy routines and burned calories as they shimmy shake shake shake on the Zumba floor.
It was followed by dinner and the amazing live band (The State of Expression), a promising local Filipino talent which hails from Scarborough with the new face of the Indie Rock, Darryl Uytico on drums, Christian Nolan bass guitarist and a soloist, and Timothy Dayrit lead guitarist and soloist.
The night was filled with fun, including segments of karaoke singing and dancing! With the fantastic skills of the co-host Miss Merecyl “Spice” Cauton and Mrs. Jujelyn Brown, the event ran very smoothly.
The night turned out to be very enjoyable, full of love and inspiration for the cause with a powerful inspirational message from our invited guests, Miss Judith Gonzales of Pinoy Dreams and Mrs Margaret Spoelstra the Executive Director of Autism Ontario. Plus, a heartfelt rendition by Mrs Jujelyn Brown- He Aint Heavy He’s My Brother,’ which was dedicated to those who are dealing with autism.
The event was highlighted with the moment of turning over the proceeds to the Executive Director Of Autism Ontario, Mrs. Margaret Spoelstra. To their amazement that all the proceeds of the event was given to the society from the paid ticket profit plus all the donations that Mrs Brown collected.
To sum it up, the money raised for the event was indeed an awesome total of $2,055.00!
