Lala de Vera wins record for longest Buckoff bull ride at CNE

KALAYAAN Garcia de Vera wins record for longest Buckoff bull ride at the Canadian National Exhibition, Aug. 23, at a record 1 minute, 38 seconds, beating the old record of 1 min. 32 sec., winning a food prize of one huge rack BBQ ribs at CNE’s Northern Comfort Saloon. For Lala, a Registered Holistic Nutritionist, the feat was a fun way to cap a hectic week which included speaking at the Canada Coconut Festival 2015 in Toronto; attending an Edutainment Tour at Manitoba Harvest in Winnipeg; and exhibiting at the World Fitness Expo 2015 at Metro Toronto Convention Centre. She is Wellbeing Counsellor of Sobeys Ontario, and food columnist of The Philippine Reporter.
