Capito had generously matched the existing class fund of P103,000 which will be offered to the Student Government of DCNHS to bankroll a project that they would propose in line with Class ‘66’s Adopt-A-Classroom Project or anything related to Good Neighbor Initiative.
In his speech, Capito proposed a challenge gift match of P206,000 to Mayor Fernandez to fund another project for DCNHS in the name of their group, which the Mayor readily accepted. “I accept the challenge gift match and I am donating the fund for the Special Program for the Arts of the school,” said Mayor Fernandez who also announced that the City had recently approved a P1.5 million budget for the elevation of their pathway which will soon be implemented. The pathway will ensure that the students’ feet will not be soaked in flood water during the rainy season.
