Two Filipina fashion models shine in Paris runways

Two young Filipinas are making waves in the runways of this season’s celebrated Paris Fashion Week, Coconuts Manila reports.

Rina Fukushi, 17, walled the PFW runway for Louise Vitton, while Marga Esquivil 20, modeled for Miu Miu.

Fukushi has to her advantage her diverse heritage for her stunning lookgs: she has a Spanish grandfather, Japanese father and a Filipina mother. She was first discovered at the Tokyo fashion week last year. With her global appeal, she is bruited to headed to make a name for herself in New York and Europe,Coconuts Manila reports.

Esquivel, 20, is a California-bred Filipina. Last year, she was reported to have stunned the fashion industry by dying her hair in a striking silver color. Her strong features – with her signature piercing eyes — earned her a spot at the Chanel’s Haute Couture show, reports the online newspaper.

The bi-annual Paris Fashion Week is part of the global “Big 4” fashion weeks, the others happening in London, Milan and New York.
