“A weekly news and talk show about issues that matter to Filipinos in Canada, the Philippines and around the world”

Radyo Migrante’s team is a collective serving the Filipino community through its news reportage and talk show, as Radyo Migrante reports and discusses local and international news and issues that are important to Filipino migrants across Canada, it stays true to its central task, which is to connect Filipinos in Canada  to significant issues in the Philippines. The program focuses on worker’s rights, socio-economic and political justice, environmental justice, and will relentlessly pursue the topic of human rights issues. It hopes to make Radyo Migrante a critical medium that will foster a strong community-led movement.

Radyo Migrante received the 2014 Best Spoken Word from the National Community Radio Awards Committee (NCRA) and was 2016 J.S. Woodsworth Human Rights and Equity Awardee. The show is weekly produced by Migrante Canada and hosted by Radyo Migrante Collective namely Sarah Salise, Rhea Gamana, Ysh Cabana, Les Valiente, Jesson Reyes, Alex Felipe, Mithi Esguerra, Pet Cleto and Lui Queaño.

This Sunday, February 25, listen live from 1PM-2PM on Vibe 105.5 FM, Rogers Cable 945, Bell Fibe 973 with our guests Gemma Geronimo and Rico Geronimo, Human Trafficking victims in Canada. The show entitled “Permanent Resident for Gemma Geronimo and Family Now!” invites listeners of Radyo Migrante to understand how human trafficked victims struggle to fight for their right to stay and work in Canada and how the community organizations respond to their plight. Sa panahon ng kagipitan lagi nang may mga kababayang handang tumulong at umagapay sa kapwa kababayang nangangailangan!
