MARKHAM, Ontario–A Thanksgiving Service and Banquet Dinner to celebrate milestones of the Hung Family, a multicultural family of Canadians, Americans, Chinese, South Asians and Filipinos, was held on June 17 in a Markham Restaurant.
Organized by siblings Victor Hung, Sally Uy and Josie Hung Ng, their children and respective families, the event was also a welcome party for their visiting Philipppine-based sibling, Architect Philip Recto and wife Ester.
The Thanksgiving Service, which comprised a program participated in by all three generations, with religious messages, church hymns, and children’s songs, was highlighted by a message of Rev. Dr. Paul Wang.
It was also a celebration of the 70th birthday of Philip and the 40th Wedding Anniversary of Philip and Ester; as well as the 75th birthday of Norma Hung, and the 45th wedding anniversary of Victor and Norma.
The intimate gathering was attended by dozens of relatives and friends of the Hung Family.
