122nd celebration of Dr. Jose P. Rizal in T.O.

TORONTO–The Knights of Rizal Canada will host the 122nd celebration of the martyrdom of Dr. Jose P. Rizal, Philippine national hero. when he was executed by the Spanish soldiers at Bagumbayan now known as Rizal Park in Manila. The event will be held at the Earl Bales Park where the statue of Rizal is located. Reception will be held at the Earl Bales Park Community Centre, Bathurst St. corner Sheppard Ave., Toronto on Dec. 30, 2018.

Sir Joe Damasco, KGOR, and Sir Mario Alpuerto, KGOR, the regional commander and the deputy regional commander respectively of the  Knights of Rizal Canada Region, announced that Philippine Ambassador to Canada Petronila Garcia and Philippine Consul General Rosalita Prospero will be present.

The board advisers are Sir George Poblete; Sir Lapulapu Cana; Sir Jimmy Marsigan; Sir Dr. Tom Virey; Sir Roland Guzman; and Sir Edaurdo C. Prillo.

Supporting the event are the officers of the Knights of Rizal Canada Region, chapter commanders and their members, the Kababaihang Rizalista, Aspirations of Rizal, Ladies of Rizal and Rizal Youth.
