De La Salle homecoming golden jubilee
The De La Salle COM69 Class celebrated its Golden Jubilee Homecoming on March 2, 2019 at the DLSU Taft Campus. About 60 classmates attended, some from the USA and Canada.
The week-long activities started with a Mass on February 24 at the DLSU Chapel with COM69 classmates, their spouses and the Lasallian Community. A Welcome Lunch followed at the Aristocrat hosted by Manny Blanco. The program enabled each one to update his classmates on his life and most highlighted their families, their children and grandchildren.
On February 26, the Jubilee Dinner was hosted by Wilson Lim at Ascott Residences at BGC. The program included a Welcome by Wilson Lim, a Message from Congressman Dodo Mandanas, who is an Honorary Member of the Class, and a Message from Manny Blanco (Chairman). Manny remarked that the COM69 is one of the most organized class in the Alumni Association with a permanent Board of Directors, annual reunions and communication network with SMS, Yahoo.group and Viber.
Manny presented a special citation to Milo Reyes (Secretary) for his consistent contribution to the Class: the communication network and Class Directory, the homecoming yearbook, uniforms, tarpaulins and class presentation with an audio-video show.
A Fellowship Night on February 28 was hosted by Alex Tanwangco at his private penthouse and the COM69 classmates enjoyed lechon and wine while singing with a live band and dancing with lady DIs.
The final homecoming celebration was on March 2 and the Class introduction featured names of classmates who are successful entrepreneurs and professional senior executives in the business world. On stage, the COM69 classmates had a musical presentation singing songs of the 60s. Dancing then followed and the singing of the Alma Mater Song ended the program.
COM69 classmates look forward to the next 10 years to celebrate their Diamond Jubilee.
