LBC keeps on moving with Pinoys in Canada

LBC keeps on moving with Pinoys in Canada

lbc-logo-we-like-to-move-it-red-txt_largeLBC participated in the ANCOP (Answering the Cry of the Poor) Walk held recently at David Pecaut Square.

ANCOP is a non-profit organization founded by Couples for Christ (CFC). The walk aims to raise awareness on the plight of the poor and offer opportunities for others to help. The annual ANCOP Walk is ANCOP Canada’s signature event for fundraising as well as celebrate the contributions of partners. ANCOP Walk is currently held in 20 locations in Canada. The venues vary from public squares, streets, and parks.
LBC has been operating in North America where hundreds of thousands of Filipinos have migrated in recent years.

LBC employees and volunteers based in Canada participated in the event to show support for this endeavor. The walk also hopes to bring education, nutrition, and healthcare to impoverished children and build homes for the less fortunate families in several countries including the Philippines.

LBC also took part in Taste of Manila, a two-day street festival showcasing the best of Filipino culture and cuisine organized by PLACA and TFC (The Filipino Channel) Live. To showcase the diversity of Filipino food, the participants paired it with activities such as cultural parades and live entertainment provided by TFC, community organizations and civic groups.

LBC put Filipino pride prominently onstage, which informed more Filipinos on how easy it is now to constantly touch base with families in the Philippines by sending packages through LBC’s Sea and Air Cargo as well as Money Remittance through partner agents iTransfer and Atin Ito.

To make the festival livelier than the previous years and for food lovers to have a memorable experience, organizers decided to add live bands to serenade guests and visitors.

As part of its mission to bridge Filipinos worldwide, LBC actively participates in community festivals.
