Lilac Caña, popular professional singer and community volunteer, celebrated her 50th birthday with a dinner-concert for family and friends on Sunday, Sept. 21, 2019.

The event was hosted by Mila and Oswald Magno in their lovely home in Mississauga, Ontario.

Caña performed her favorite songs with the accompaniment of musician friends who were among her special guests.

Her 85 guests were treated to a sit-down dinner prepared by a Polish chef, a family friend at the Polish church where Lilac volunteers.

More songs by Lilac and singer friends Emil Zarris, Heidi Cyfko and Nonie Perez followed after dinner, and the cake-cutting.Dancing by the guests capped the music-filled party.

Among Lilac’s concert selections were classical and originnally composed songs, which she listed down and saved into a flash drive as give-away present to her guests packaged in tiny golden pouches.

Among her broad repertoire of English and Tagalog favorite songs are: Sa Kabukiran, Ang Maya, Ikaw, I Believe, If Music Be The Food of Love,The Prayer, When Autumn Comes, I’ll Be With You, Brighter Day, and A Piece of Sky.
