The Philippines reported 4,002 new confirmed COVID-19 cases on Thursday, August 13, bringing the total tally to 147,526.

According to the Department of Health (DOH), 83% of the new cases occurred within the last 14 days. The period includes the first week of the new lockdown of Metro Manila, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal.

In these two weeks, Metro Manila continued to report the most number of new cases, 2,077. This represents more than half, 63%, of the new cases for the past 14 days.
