A story book for children to help deal with grief

A story book for children to help deal with grief

Filipino-Canadian Indie author publishes

May 26, 2023

TORONTO –New independent author Wendy Archard (née Codiñera) is providing comfort to children and their families with her new book Just Breathe: A Journey Through Grief (released May 2023)

The experience of losing her daughter in 2018 inspired her to write a story that talks about the many different feelings one may experience when someone you love passes away.  The narrator shares how she uses breath to find calmness when she feels overwhelmed. The book is also a reminder to take it one day at a time. Think nursery rhyme meets love song in a profound story of grief, breath and comfort.

Parents who have read her book have found the simple rhyming verses make an easy read for kids and important themes such as perseverance are also shared.
